Web Site Development
Eric Wylie and his creative partners design a variety of Web Sites to promote businesses, and develop Web Applications that help site owners solve business issues.
Since 2014, our sites use responsive design (sites that look good and are usable on a variety of devices like desktops, tablets and phones).

Client: Linn County Anesthesiologists
Eric has been assisting LCA for several years with Website updates and online internal document management. When it came time for a new website, Eric worked with the practice manager to understand the needs of their office, their patients, and fellow medical professionals -- all who regularly use their site.
Eric created new sites for both LCA's primary site and The LCA Pain Clinic site.
Property Rental Search & Listing Management
Client: Heritage Property Management - Iowa City, Iowa
This Iowa City business has a large portfolio of properties under their management. Eric Wylie and his development partner, Mike Hostetler of Square Peg Systems, created a Web site that provides searchers looking for rental units in this university town a unique, map-based search tool along with access to pricing and property details. Plus, site users can overlay local bus routes on the Google map when viewing a property location.
The custom administration system provides all of the tools needed to quickly update individual unit availability and information. We worked closely with the client to fully understand their process and needs to create tools specific to their business.
Client: Metro Sports Report
Metro Sports Report is a site dedicated to the Cedar Rapids and Marion, Iowa, metro high schools and the 21 sanctioned high school sports, plus local college and professional teams.
This group of experienced, local journalists and photographers have a deep passion for sports and encouraging young people, and are providing much needed and appreciated coverage of all of the local teams.
Architecture & Engineering Firm
Client: Morning Star Studio
Eric has been assisting Morning Star Studio with their web site since they opened their doors in 2004.
This site showcases work underway, work completed, and introduces audiences to the capabilities of the company.
Real Estate Development
Client: Keystone On Lakeside
Eric has created several websites for Eastern Iowa land developers as new neighborhoods are planned and constructed.
This site features a large photo viewer and lot availability and pricing information.
Client: Linn County Anesthesiologists, P.C.
This site describes the functions and locations of the LCA Pain Clinic, P.C. -- a service provided by Linn County Anesthesiologists, P.C., a physician group in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The clinics are housed within area hospitals.
This features patient Q & A's, information for referring physicians, patient forms, and more.
Ecommerce Web Site
Client: On Hold Web Store
The On Hold Web Store is a site owned by Eric Wylie where On Hold Message audio players and custom phone audio voiceover services are marketed.
This site is a customized OpenCart ecommerce installation integrated with PayPal for credit/debit card processing and payment collection. The site provides for coupon codes, downloadable products, featured products and many other features.
Service Organization & Membership Management
Client: Daybreak Rotary
This community organization requested a site that could be updated by their communication team, and also provide mass email and member profile/data management.
Features include an event calendar and information about the organziation. Additionally, members can log in to see "Member's Only" information and keep their individual contact information profiles up-to-date. This was an off-the-shelf site system that was customized for Daybreak, in an effort to keep within budget.
Just a couple of years after the site pictured was created, the group chose to switch to a web system built for and by Rotary Clubs, with special features that connected to their membership system and other internal processes.
Eric Wylie's Web Site Philosophy
More than just a "presence" on the Web, your business needs to have a 24/7 method of letting potential customers know exactly what business you are in and how you solve problems for your customers. Your site should also give viewers a "feel" for the attitude of your company -- is your business young and aggressive, or are you older and more experienced?
More than ever, potential customers are investigating businesses on the Web before calling or visiting a store or office. People like to save time and know what to expect before they arrive. Use your Web site to make people comfortable and confident in your ability to serve them before they ever walk through the door or make your phone ring.
While HTML code and graphics are important elements and are the "work" of creating a Web site, I enjoy the business strategy and content planning just as much as the creative design. Helping clients decide what should be included in their site (and what shouldn't) and how the site should be organized for the best user experience is a rewarding and usually revealing conversation with clients. I also help clients explore other marketing strategies to promote their Web site and their business. A Web site should be just one part of several marketing tools employed by a business.
